Scoop Capture Key Features

Scoop Capture's job is to gather and sort audio and text raw materials from a number of news sources and categorise them for your journalists to use. In addition, Scoop Capture also maintains the database of locally and imported news to make life as easy for your journalists as possible. Scoop Captures key features include:

Capture text stories from a number of popular news sources.
Capture multiple audio incoming feeds (simultaneously if needed).
Compatible with satellite, web and local file based news distribution systems.
Captures email (including attachments) from POP3 email servers and downloads then directly in to Scoop.
Allows you to email stories and audio directly to the Scoop system.
Captures faxes from compatible fax servers (e.g. Microsoft Fax Server).
Scans all incoming text stories looking for key words and highlights stories containing these words.
Categorises stories based on news services own categorisations.
Scans stories for 'catch words' and uses these to categorise when no pre-defined categories are available (when the news service does not categorise stories).
Maintains the Scoop database ensuring maintenance free running 24/7.
Works as a stand alone system or in conjunction with Myriad for a more integrated solution.
Works with most leading news services (see list).
