The Myriad Standard Package
|
The Myriad system comprises much more than
just the Myriad Playout and automation system. The standard package
is actually a range of applications and tools designed to provide
you with everything that you need to produce and run a radio
station.
Full Myriad Package
The following applications are installed as part of the standard
Myriad installation or are licensed to be installed on the same PC
as Myriad.
Myriad - Studio based playout and
automation system. Includes the Audio Wall, Instant Carts,
SmoothEdit, Log Screen and Song / Link Database.
Myriad Manager - Provides
administration tools and reports and lets you control how much
access to your Myriad system each user gets.
Myriad CD Ripping Module - Allows you to 'rip' audio from
CD's directly in to Myriad. The Myriad ripping module also performs
a 'digital top', normalisation and optional compression of the
ripped audio and can scan you Audio Wall for existing Carts with
similar Title or Artists.
Myriad Emergency Recovery - If all else
fails, this utility allows you to configure Myriad's basic options
even if Myriad itself can not run.
PRS Report Generator - Produces
comprehensive reports for copyright agencies such as PRS, PPL and
MCPS etc.
Log Import Wizard - For stations using
third party music and advert scheduling systems such as Selector (tm)
and Broadnet(tm).
All of the above programs are
included in each and every Myriad license that your station
purchases.
Bonus Applications (free when purchasing one or more Myriad
licenses)
These additional applications are licensed free of charge with
Myriad systems.
AutoTrack - Intelligent Music and
Jingle scheduling system. Includes basic Link scheduling for a
complete station scheduling solution.
Advanced Advert Manager - Offers simple advert scheduling
facilities for stations with less demanding traffic needs.
OCP - Provides 'live' updates including
text, links and pictures to web and WAP sites as well as text info
to Digital Radio (DAB) services.
Only one license for each application is offered
free of charge (for every four Myriad licenses). These applications
can only be installed on PC's that have a valid Myriad license.
Additional 'Add On' Modules For Myriad
Although the standard Myriad package includes all the tools the
average station needs, there are also a number of ways in which you
can expand your system to be more flexible or to meet the specific
needs of your station. These include:
Voice / Segue Editor - This adds 'voice tracking' and
segue editing capabilities to your standard Myriad system. This
allows you to simply and efficiently add live sounding 'voice' links
to your automated output and to fine tune the automation to the way
you want it to sound. See Voice

Myriad STS (Split Transmission System) - This additional
module allows you to deliver alternative advertisements and jingles
to separate transmission paths or geographic areas. For more details

The Advanced Tools Pack - This advanced pack of useful
tools provides the answers to a range of problems that Myriad
stations have faced over the years. You can install the Advanced
Tools Pack on a PC that already has Myriad installed or on a stand
alone PC which makes ideal for the 'traffic' PC where the ability to
import the advert logs in to Myriad is needed but a full Myriad
license is not. See The Advanced

AutoTrack Pro - The ultimate upgrade to the standard
AutoTrack music scheduling system offering a quantum leap in power,
versatility and control. For more details see

OCP+ - Builds upon the excellent foundations laid by OCP
with more configurable Formats and Outputs plus the ability to run
multiple services from a single OCP box. For more details contact

Other Myriad Licensing Options
In addition to the Full Myriad Package outlined above, we also
offer some additional 'cut down' licensing options for 'non
broadcast' workstation that do not require all of the features of
the Full Package but still need access to Myriad for administration
or review purposes. These 'cut down' license options provide a more
cost effective solution for adding Myriad to non broadcast
workstations such as production areas, program controllers PC's and
advert traffic workstations.
- Admin Only License - This offers access to the Audio
Wall, Instant Carts, SmoothEdit and Log screens in Myriad and
provides access to Myriad Manager. The only difference between an
Admin License and a Full License is that the Admin Only license
does not have the capability to activate one of the Active Playout
Modes on the Log Screen. This means that you can view and
manipulate the Schedule Log on the Log Screen but the Live, Auto
and AutoFade buttons are not available so you can not use the
system for 'on air' playout. You also can not record Voice Tracks
in to an Admin Only Licensed workstation. This type of license is
ideally suited to a program controllers desktop or a production
studio as it offers full admin and editing facilities and the only
restriction is that the workstation is not capable of going 'on
air'.
The Admin Only License is available at a lower cost than a full
license but it does not include a AutoTrack, Advert Manager or OCP
license in the package price. For details on Admin Only license

- Audio Wall Only License - As the name implies, the
Audio Wall only license option provides full access to all of the
features and tools on the Audio Wall as well as the |Pad and
Instant Carts, but does not offer access Database or Log Screens (but SmoothEdit is
accessed via the Audio Wall). This type of license is ideal for a
music or traffic department workstation as it allows the user to
review, add and edit Carts on the Audio Wall but does not allow
them to view and manipulate the Log Screen.
The Audio Wall Only License is available at a lower cost than a
Admin Only license but it does not include a AutoTrack, Advert
Manager or OCP license in the package price. For details on Audio

- Cart Browser - This new addition to the Myriad
Licensing options provides playback only access the Carts on the
Audio Wall. You can not record or edit Carts using this license
model but you can view the Audio Wall and listen to Carts
via your standard sound card. The Cart Browser license is ideally
suited to any workstation in your station that you want to be able
to review Carts but has no need to be able to record new Carts or
Edit existing Carts. The receptionist PC may be a good example.
In general, the Cart Browser is available free of charge to all
customers with one or more Full Myriad Licenses. For more details
