SmoothEdit Audio Editing
Audio Editing is the commonly used term for
manipulating digital audio files using a PC. The most common form of
audio editing is done using a wave form or graph that represents the
values of the samples that are used to render the audio file when it
is played by the PC.
By visualising the audio as a wave form, it is
possible to alter and manipulate the audio using techniques such as
'cut and paste', that are familiar to most PC users. In effect, an
audio editing can be considered very similar to a word processor
(such as MS Word(tm)) in that you can view the audio file and
visually add, alter and move around the audio within.
P Squared's primary Audio Editor is called
SmoothEdit and is designed specifically for the requirements of
radio studio editing in that it offers a range of powerful tools
that can be accessed quickly and efficiently.
