The Advanced Tools Pack

The Advanced Tools Pack provides a range of additional tools and utilities designed to further expand the flexibility and functionality of Myriad. Over the years we have designed a number of tools to tackle problems or situations in stations and now for the first time, all those tools are available as part of the Advanced Tool Pack. This low cost option makes a great addition to the standard Myriad package.

The Advanced Tools Pack for Myriad consists of:

  • Audio Wall Linkerfier & Delinkerfier - Exports all of the Carts on you Audio Wall to a specified file location and format and then links the Carts on the Audio Wall back to the freshly exported files. Example use - need to have a common audio file storage between Myriad and another playout system? The Delinkerfier does the same in reverse.
  • Audio Wall Lister - Command line tool for exporting a text list of all the Cart in a specific range on your Audio Wall. Example use - export a list of Carts for a 3rd party system such as Broadnet(tm).
  • Audio Wall Information Importer - Allows you to import Cart title, artist and timing information from a CSV (comma separated variable) text file.
  • Audio Wall Title Compactor -  Works through an Audio Wall moving description lines around on the Carts. Example use - in your Myriad v2 system, you used to have Title on line 1, nothing on line 2 and Artist on line 3. Now you have Myriad v3 you need to move all the line 3 info on to line 2.
  • Audio Wall Title Remapper - Similar to the Title Compactor but this utility allows you to shift stuff around in a more flexible way.  Example use - need to switch the Title and Artist fields over on your Audio Wall, this will do it for you.
  • Configuration Removal Tool - Removes all previous configuration data from the PC's registry so that you can ensure you have a clean slate to start again with. Example use - want to reinstall with a totally clean sheet.
  • Station Log Exporter / Importer - A really powerful tool! This allows you to select a section is your scheduled Station Log (formerly known as the Q-NXT log in Myriad v2) and export it as a file. This would not be much use unless you could import it again later. Luckily the Station Log Exporter allows you to do just that. Example use - take a Voice Tracked show, export it and then re-importing a few days later in the log to reuse it.
  • Log Importer (music & advert log importer) - This tool is used to import music and advert logs from third party scheduling systems such as RCS Selector(tm) or Broadnet(tm). This tool is included with all Myriad licenses but if you want your Program Controller or Traffic Manager to be able to import their respective logs from their desktop PC's but you do not want to pay for a Myriad license for them then the Advanced Tools Pack is the way to go.
  • Multiple Audio Format Import Utility - This stand alone import utility allows you to import single or multiple audio files directly in to your Myriad Audio Wall. The difference is that this baby can import files in a range of linear and compressed formats including MP2, WMA, Ogg Vorbis and MP3. The import utility will import the files, convert them to your standard Myriad format, trim any silence from the beginning and normalise them to your standard Myriad level. You can also import linear files and rip tracks from CD even if you do not have Myriad installed on the machine. So if you regularly need to import WMA or MP3 files then this tool may be for just what you need.
  • Podcast Creator - Podcasts are all the rage now right now and you know that if you are not in on the action, your competitors will be. But what is a Podcast? Well technically, a Podcast is a combination of a compressed audio file (usually MP3 but iPods use AAC by default) along with supporting XML data that contains title information as well as subscription data to allow applications such as iTunes to download each new Podcast as it is uploaded. Creating Podcasts using the Podcast Creator could not be simpler. Browse your Audio Wall using the built in Audio Browser, select the Cart you want to use and the Podcast Creator does the rest. The XML data is populated using the Cart Information so all you have to do is upload it to your web site.  Combine this with the Myriad Pad's new ability to combine several Carts in to a single Cart (including Intro / Extro overlap) and you have complete Podcast shows in seconds.

The Advanced Tools Pack can be installed on a PC that already has Myriad installed or on a stand alone PC. For details on the cost of the Advanced Tools Pack, please visit the Prices page.
